My daughter and I found a great deal today.

First of all, my Landi bush knife arrived. It was a very nice fixed blade at a very very nice price.

Now for the rest of the story. My daughters 12th birthday was yesterday. As customary in our family, she received her first .22 rifle. Today, we went to the range to shoot. On the way, we stopped by a local knife vendor and found a blue bone Case copperlock, NIB for $19!!!

Izzy shot very well and we had a lot of fun today. Will get pictures up tomorrow.

Ed,
You are kinda my hero. I keep promising my twin boys 12, I will take them hunting this year. I gotta get them through the hunter safety course soon. Thanks for that post.

Thats cool Ed. Time spent shooting with your kids, is as good as it gets.
I got my son Travis his first 22 rifle when he was 8. He does a good job shooting either with his bow or a 22. Now if I can get him to leave my early Winchester 22's alone :D
Last year he had his hunters safety course. It was fun to watch him go through it. You could sure tell the kids that have grown up around guns and those that haven't

way to go ed t. i started my boy at 5 but we had lots of access to country in my moms arkansas place.we were living in austin & i told him to never mention to his friends that we had guns. this was one problem with his growing up that i never had to address. i beleive if you start them early they do'nt exhibit the curosity that plauges some families.

There's nothing as priceless as the first pocket knife or .22 rifle.

It's telling them that you trust them to take this first step into a larger world.
