I have the plans by Hugh McDonald. Just wondering is anyone has built one from his plans and looking for any helpful hits.

Hey Indian George,I am curious of How Much those plans are as I would like to build one myself.sorry that I don't have any advice on this....
I do have a question for you,When you did that knife out of the Harley transmission shaft was it solid or hollow,and did you have to fold and weld it together or anything like that.HDCharlie sent me one to try and it is hollow that is why I am asking.

Bruce:
The shaft that you have sounds like it is the mainshaft. Does it have a taper on one end and threaded. The shaft that I used was the secondary and it was solid. The hole thru the middle is for the clutch activation rod.
The plans for the roller mill was $28 with s&h.

Yep thats the one that I have,Tapered and threaded and hollow....I guess that I will try forge welding it together and see what happens....Thanks for the price on the plans.

I don't have a set of plans, just building one from the junk I have, still have to gather a few odds and ends.
