This "Combat Wakizashi" by Steve Corkum sports a 15" blade, forged 1050 steel. White Ray skin under epoxy soaked (not just coated) black nylon wrap with turk's head knot guard, and a nice Don Fogg mokume menuke. This little sword feels like fire in the hand.

And here's a little Kiridashi, complete with a little hamon, a little rayskin, and a little cord-wrap...

Wulf, those are really nice. Obviously your long wait has been well worth it. Good to see that Steve is feeling well enough to be making swords and knives again.

Beautiful looking Wakizashi.I really want to add one to my collection.

...that even I can see! And I don't know much about the Asian-inspired works. The wrapping looks to be very engaging.

It looks like Steve got your knives to you post-haste after your query. I'd say you *and* him done good.
