O.k. guys wanna buy myself a new edc knife for my birthday have quite a few blades trappers mostly was thinking about getting a stockman. Want stag handels, stainless blades medium size, doesnt matter where its made, dont want to spend more than 35 dollars. I already own case barehead trapper in g-10 , scharde trapper carbon steel,and afew others . Looking at kissing crane but thought i would ask your opinions first Thanks in advance Oh and this will be a user not gonna stay in the box.
 
You wont find genuine stag for that price. Stag bone but not stag. I could be wrong though. I would spend the extra money and get an Eye Brand or Case.

I can't think of anything in stag for that price range; even a stag Case stockman costs $85+.

The best low-price stockman I've bought lately was this Boker. It costs $45 though, and came with beautiful black wood handles. http://www.agrussell.com/boker-medium-pen-knife/p/BOhhhAN240GW/

Hopefully someone can recommend a decent Chinese import in your price range. I'm not familiar with those and wouldn't begin to know which ones are recommendable. Good Luck!
 
The kissing crane i was looking at has genuine stag handles but i dont know abought the qauility of these knives the site i saw them on they are $ 31.00 shipped.
 
Did it say genuine stag or genuine bone stag? ther is a difference.

Bob that grenadill wood on that boker is different.
 
Go look at German Eye Brand. They have stag and deer stag that goes for a decent price.
 
Frankly, getting this for under 35 USD is not easy/possible I'm afraid.

But, you could check Pawn shops, they may well yield up very good lightly used bargains.

Rough Rider is a good Chinese brand, they do stag but I've only bought their Delrin or Bone models which are decent. Medium or Large Stockman are fine from them.

A bit more cash would get you a fine CASE Stockman in bone....

Rough Rider offers some stag stockmen. I've never had a stag handled one so I can't speak to quality of stag. But the price for one is in your ballpark.

I have the Rough Rider Sowbelly Stockman in stag and it is actually a pretty nice knife, I dont think they can be beat for their price point.
