Strange Knife

I don't know if its me but I swear the more I look at this knife the more it looks like a Faibairn-Sykes that someone rehandled in stag.Civil War my ass.

Definately NOT.
To me, the guard looks a bit long......
I've seen that style in several German traditional knives.
I could be wrong, but to me, the proportions look a bit off.

I don't think that brass pommel caps were invented at that time..Most knives were hidden tang, and pinned into the handle.--Joe
