Now don't get me wrong I don't own either but the arguments I see pop up here on blade forums on a regular basis it seems the argument of which is better is much like the Kalashnikov variant versus the AR variant argument.

well, strider are rough use knives, like AKs. ARs can be highly customized, there are many designs one can get on a sebbie.
etc
etc
etc
not a terrible comparison:thumbup:

I do not know why there is always such a heated debate between the two (sebbie vs strider). They are both great knives with two different purposes. Both are 'technically' tactical knives, but the sebbie is more of a gentleman's tactical in my own opinion.

personally, i like the sebbie.

That's Nonsense.

A sebenza is a Mercedes 500 and a strider a T-72 russian Tank

No No wait.

A sebenza is like a classy broad in an evening dress and a strider like a girl in jeans cutt offs.

No wait better,

a sebenza is like a filet mignon perfectly cooked and stridier a double/double with fries.

I have owned both and I live in Maine-a-tuckie

a strider is jack daniels and a sebenza is fine wine

strdier is a bull dog, and sebenza is a, hmm, sheperd.

A strider is enough buddies and too much beer and a sebenza is too many buddies and just enough beer.

A strider is a gritty detective novel and sebenza is poetry.

A strider is kicking ass on the play ground while a sebenza is getting an "A" on the test

A strider is new jersey sax and sebenza west coast cello.

A strider is finding $200 bucks in the parking lot and a sebenza is getting a raise.

A strider is a blonde and her twin sister, a sebenza is a brunette and her twin sister.

A strider is a seahawk helicopter and sebenza an apache helicopter.

A strider is when some poor SOB lands on your park place with hotels and a sebenza is a straight flush.

A strider is a season where a team battles back from long odds to clinch the title, while a sebenza is a perfect playoff record.

How about this:

The Sebenza is a tough as hell top quality knife made by a gentleman.

The Strider is (according to reports, I've not actually handled one) a well built quality knife made by a guy who dishonored himself by lying about his military history in order to make himself famous.

look ok I get it, but this REALLY bothers me, is an AR really worth the money? I mean an AK shoots just as well right?

I think AR owners are just stuck up rich people whose self worth is tied to the image of the AR, while the AK is joe sixpaxk every guy who just has to git-er-done!

Still though I got "a friend" that has a hummer but he only shoots an AK! I find that confusing at a very deep level.

I mean clearly if the guy had a friggen (it's a type of swedish tank) AND he still shot the AK, then there would be no problem. ABout the hummer guy, he's got kids and no telling how they grow up in that kind of household.

AK's can't hit *hit so you have to spray . . .

AR's Baby ;) FTW

Actually... no. An AK Doesn't shoot as well. I own several of both. The AK's strength is in it's unstoppable reliability. But it's a pesants weapon. One that can be built in a hut with limited tools. It's never been the most accurate weapon on the planet. I own a Krebs accurazied AK and spent a lot of money on it... and A NIB Bushmaster is still just as accurate LOL. Now ARs can be finiky at times... but the myth that they jam easy is a load of crap. They will have more reliability problems than an AK... but that's the AK's strong point. Accuracy is the AR's. Two different guns. Two different wheel houses. Within 200 yards the AK is a bad bad mama jama... but the further you go past that and the AR begins to shine more and more.

Just in case it was missed, every post I have made in this thread was tongue in cheek. except this one.
