Where can I buy one of these, and also is it a good knife,I like the striped blades, any info would be helpful.

There are Strider dealers here at Bladeforums and other places such as www.bladeart.com , www.tadgear.com , and likely many more. Try going to www.striderknives.com

I've heard that some of their older liner locks weren't flawless, but I've also heard that their newer linerl lock and framelocked folders are the cream of the crop. That's all hearsay as I've only admired them from afar, so maybe some owners could help you out.

BTW,

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Welcome to Strider day at Bladeforums. You'll find Striders to be hard working tools with a BIG reputation and the ability to stand up to it. I'd start at the Strider website.
Good Luck

I started looking for the same knife last week.

I decided that the current production, all-black SnG was a better way for me to go for the reasons listed above. I've ordered said knife from Matt D, and I'll report on it when it arrives.
Matt has told me that Strider's next series of SnG knives will be the tiger stripe version, and that that knife will become the regular "production" version of the SnG. With the reported increase in quality, you may want to wait for that version to come out.

Or, get an all-black SnG ...

Hope that helps.

Lets not forget one of the the best reasons to get an SnG, it can be disassembled in seconds by anybody with a torx wrech for cleaning and lube, until recently, i thought only the Sebenza was easy to take apart, the SnG is easier! I guess im spoiled now because i dont want another knife unless i can take it apart. :) Wish the AR didnt have that weird pivot pin.

Im waiting though on the MARSOC, a 4" SnG with stripes, what more could you want?

Just a small point.

A SnG appears to be easier to take apart, but when assembling you will probably have to carefully? set (and fix?) the pivot tension.
You don't need to (well, you actually can't) do that on a Sebenza.

(this is no judgement on the SnG, it's just that I like the Sebenza for this 'feature')

Also, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on the SnG pivot construction...

Ted
