Stupid Newbie Dremel Tool Question

I had to grind the head off a rounded-off 3/8-inch bolt the other day. Took the bracket over to a friend's and used his die grinder. As I was doing it, I realized I had a Dremel MultiPro that I got for Christmas last year that I have never taken out of the box. If I had used it, how long would it take to grind the head off the bolt? Minutes? Tens of minutes? Hours? Same thing with cutting a bolt that size. In the commmercials, the little cut off wheel goes through things like a knife through butter. In reality? Any experience/advice would be appreciated.

I have used my Dremel tool to cut a 3/8" bolt. It took me longer to get the tool out and install the cutting disk than it did to actually cut the bolt. It is surprisingly fast. Cutting the head off a 3/8" bolt would take less than a minute. BTW you could also use the tool to cut a slot in the bolt head to fit a screwdriver. Handy gadget. It does create a lot of sparks so I don't use it as much as I could (my workbench is also my reloading bench).

Dremel tools little cutting wheel kicks butt, just make sure you keep it straight, dont use it in a way it need to bend or itll snap right easy, other then that they are fast as crap.

I have a dremel and have cut plenty of metal with it. They are plenty fast but the cutting wheels wear down quickly so keep a few extras on hand. When using a dremel for any purpose saftey glasses are a nessesity. these tools are very handy but the shoot plenty dust and filings all over the place.
