Can anyone recommend a respectable maker of Bowie knives? Want to stay around $350 range if possible.

Size and materials affect costs. It would probably help to know what you want to the use the Bowie for. You may want to be more specific beyond price.

Bill Siegle (BF member was4u) makes some very nice traditional style bowies. Here's a coffin handle pattern of his that I have:

Do you hear that?
That is the sound of inevitability.

Aloha.
For my money you can't go wrong with one of the bowies George makes. I have a Gambler model of his that is work of art.

You have to check out George Tichbourne's new Bowies - and his beautiful tooled leather sheaths. Incredible value.

Another vote for George Tichbourne's Bowies...excellent craftsmanship and great value.

John Fitch makes the best under $400 bowie on the planet....and they will out cut most in any price range by anyone.

That should be the dictionary picture for sleek! No, correct that: sleeeek!!!

Hard to answer that question. To many makers out there that I have respect for to point out one. I will say you won't go wrong with anyone (or thing) pictured or mentioned so far in this thread.
