So today, i was at work, and reached for my knife, pulled it out of my pocket and my first though was “LOLWUT?” I pulled it from my pocket with ease, absolutely no resistance. Looked down and saw this..

AWWWWWWWW MAAAAAAAN! LOL I CHERISH MY 560, its my all time EDC for now, what am i to do now?
I guess i could use my 561... but thats too easy. I already sent an email to Kershaw for a new pocket clip.. but now I gotta wait over a week to carry it again... :/

In the mean time, i can EDC it in the pocket of my awesome 80’s puffy jacket!

Admit it, you’re all jelly of my cool pocket clip mod...

1. Unscrew pocket clip screw on top
2. Unscrew pocket clip screw on bottom
3. Using force, pinch the clip back together
4. Screw in pocket clip screw on top
5. Screw in pocket clip screw on bottom

They need to make those clips a little bit thicker. You would not have done that with the clip on my daughter's Spyderco Tenacious. She complained to me that it gripped her jeans too tightly so I tried bending it out slightly. I knew that if you aren't too careful you can get too much bend before you know it so I tried bending it out by slipping thicknesses of thin cardboard under the clip. If it didn't work then I would add a layer of cardboard and do it again. I was bending the clip away from the scales over 1/4" and it made no permanent difference to the tension. I don't know how much farther it would have required, I wasn't at my workbench so I declined to go any further without better tools. A few days later she was talking to one of her friends about it, a person ignorant of knives, and now her clip looks just like the one here and it won't grip any pants.

The problem with remove the clip/bend the clip/reattach the clip is that many manufactures make it impossible to get the screws out and back in, so if you ever get the clip off you won't be able to get it back on. I can't count the number of threads I've read about stripped screw threads on knife clips. I don't touch mine if I don't have to.

Unfortunately, I am not a jedi, so i cant use the force... will pliers work?

im digging the scale on that 560

Yeah bro, so am i, check out my other thread on this forum to see some better pics, its like this knife was MEANT to have an OD scale!

I looked it up very nice, hahaha this forum is bad for me it just makes me want to buy everything I see. I feel like a little kid again seeing all the toy commercials at Christmas time.

Oh definitely, i cant complain though, I love knives, i love money... but i can think of way more uses for a knife than i can money... so i spend it all on knives :)

I'm using the clip off of another Oregon companies discontinued knife. I believe the clip is used on a few models that may still be in production. The new version of this model has a skull on the clip if you're a bit of a nonconformist. But the new model uses a 3 screw clip.

This clip is slightly longer. Two fingers can sit up on top and then there is a circular depression the outside of which presses against the pocket. I just rest my middle finger in that with the other two up top. Keeps me from putting any pressure on the lockbar when opening it which I had a habit of doing. It looks a bit out of place since it is black and goes all the way down to the lockbar stabilizer. It doesn't clink and clank as much as the stock due to where it makes contact with the lockbar. It is black with no logos. The stock clip looks much much nicer though.

I'd love to take photos or say exactly which knife but I'd hate for the company to be swamped with requests for clips for a knife that people don't actually own. I guess that makes this post somewhat pointless but it's a nice option to try for those who can possibly deduce some info from this or may have seen other people who have done the same thing.
