Have a blade that I'd like to put a Japanese style handle wrap on, but I'm not having much luck finding the supplies for this. Any suggestions?

Try Adam International or Culpepper Mother Of Pearl for the rayskin. I think they're both listed in the Knives Annual.

Thanks guys, that should get me on my way, or at least into trouble.

Wanting to practice this technique, I tried using some coreless paracord, hard to work with the thin stuff. Looks like I'll also need to get some cheap cotton ito to learn with, and then there's the hishi-gami... should be hours of fun
