Surface Grinders

While attempting to look busy at work, I discovered in a corner of the shop a small surface grinder, it does run and work.

I was just wondering would this be pretty good for grinding out blades and parts?

Sounds tempting, but I'm not mechanicly inclined enough to take it apart, so I guess that I'll have to just leave it where it is and practice a little with it to see if I can do some work with it.
