How about a progress report on the commercials. Is Spyderco going to pursue with the commercials? And for those that did not see the commercials, are we going to get to see them here?

Thanks,

Gary50

I felt like I was in a Spyderco commercial myself the other day. I was at a local store that carries different knives, Spyderco, Benchmade, Gigand, Buck, along with the usual cheap stuff. A guy was poking through the bargain bin at some folders, finds one that the thinks he's going to like, and proceeds to check the blade out. Dullsville. Then he picked up a sharpener that's on display and tried to sharpen the "new" knife before he bought it. I discreetly pulled my Calypso Jr and showed the guy how sharp a year-old Spydie is. He dropped the cheap knife back into the bin and bought a Delica. How good is a bargain if you can't or won't use what you've paid for?

I'll probably use this story to leverage a few stickers from Danielle when they ship my next Spyderco. (hee hee)

Gary50 - We have the commercials on video. Haven't figured out how to show in on the Web. Beyond my skill level. If Spark has a clue, or?

The last run of the commecials was a week in Portland.

Sal,
How about running them on one of those VCR/TV combos at the Blade Show. It would be a cheap way to get them shown, though it may be like preaching to the choir. I'm sure you all are way ahead of me on this though.

Sal, if you need technical help putting those videos into a format that you can show over the internet give me a mail and I can probrably do it.

Spide - thanx. Danelle, I'll get the video to you. You get it to Spide. We'll figure out a way to get Spide a prototype for his efforts.

Sal, I'd recommend getting it in a few formats. Most everyone can use RealMovie format, most PCs can handle .AVI, and Quicktime is good too.

If all else fails, there are other options as well.

I can put it in any format that you want, however I will need some way to send you the stored information, a zip disk is the best to do that. I can either send you one and have you send it back once you have downloaded the information, or you can send the video with one, either way is fine with me. It would also be nice to know what formats you want it in, depending on how long the commercial and what formats you choose will have an effect on how much memory it takes. Hope this helps a little.
