OK folks the time is among us. Tachyons are shipping to us now and we are filling orders. We are staging orders first and shipping them as they come in from Microtech. This will take about 14 days to complete so bear with us. Kydex rigs will ship seperately at no additional charge.

More news soon.
 
That's great news and I'm sure a bunch of people have been waiting to hear it!!! :D:D:D I just know my orders in the top couple on the stack!!!;)::p Thanks for the update Mike!
 
I've alerted the off-site mail processing center here at Balisong Collector Headquarters to expect a package from Florida so that they don't mistakenly soak it in bleach and then blow it up.
 
I hope mine is soon, I was in the first orders but I had to reorder with my moving and all.

Heck Chuck I just hooked up the 220 to the electron beam cannon for the mail:p
 
Electron Beam Cannon!?!

There's the problem! We've been using the 25mm cannon and it's been making a mess of the mail, especially the e-mail. This is 43ed new monitor I've had to buy in the last week. I keep telling the security people that it's viruses you get by e-mail. Anthrax is a bacteria. But, they won't listen to me.
 
Got the E Alex and address is changed.

I am playing with one of the production prototypes. The solution Tony and I have for the lock problem on butterflies is so simple you will die when you see it :)

Slight problem from what I can see. This production protoype does not have the blood groove. I did not authorize this change so I am calling Tony tomorrow before we ship them out.

Also we will anodize the spacers to make these look cool. I will get regular spacers made for anyone who does not like their version but I think when you see them you will want the blue/purple spacer. It is the same as was on the proto Vector :)

Well I did have an old Mass spec laying around and I'm SOOOO scared of my mail. I did build an inductivly coupled plasma once from a lawn mower spark coil once just because my advisor said I couldn't

Anyway Mike, a couple of questions, you said that you are staging the orders? does that mean that you are shipping out as you get them in from MT or are you shipping all at once? Curious beause as I said though I did have an early order in, not as early as Chuck but it was bfore the website went up, I had to reorder it online because I moved. Also as to the color of the spacers? Are they blue-purple now? I like that idea, but the pics on the prototype look grey?

Great news Mike. I think some people who felt that the Tachyon would never become reality may be eating that proverbial black bird. Hey maybe that would be a good name for the Nemesis-bladed Tachyon--Crow! ;)

Is the blood groove issue going to delay things very much? We know you keep getting surprises thrown your direction. I, for one, am willing to wait until you have things as you want them. How does it look without the groove? They could become rarities, like that very valuable upside down biplane postage stamp. Thanks.
 
Wow, the first known pic of a what the production model will look like, bout time. I can't believe it was that hard to just post a pic.

Is that the stonewash finish blade?
 
I'd rather buy a 5" Deep Bellied Bowie, or a couple 69's and about 6 sheaths, because I probably would have missed out on a 5" Imada HH and a 4" bowie :(

That's MT version of Stonewash alright, and the final production version should have the blood grooves in. This proto doesn't.

As tempting as those are on Chuck's site, I'm more inclided to pick this up. This is 1 of 2 protos. 5 " bowies are a little more available. Also, I already know how BM makes their bali's. I want to know how MT does theirs. Plus there's always the first on the block bragging rights....:D
