Does anyone know of a good talonite folder other than the CUDA EDC? I can't seem to find a single other one.

I'll assume you mean Talonite production folders...

... and yeah, I can't think of any others either.

Yes, I meant production, though I'd also be interested in any customs that aren't too expensive. As far as I've seen, A. G. Russell has only the CUDA EDC in his catalogs -- does he have another talonite folder?

Thanks, I missed that one. It's surprising that so few makers are using this material after all this time.

Well, of course the ultimate Talonite folder is the TnT, but yes, its a bit pricey on the secondary market, though Tom's prices are very reasonable if you have one on order. I have seen some Talonite folders made by JW Smith that were relatively affordable, around $500. Some Stellite Carsons can be found for around $500 too.

For production folders, i guess the only ones i can think of are yes, the Ralph designs by Cammilus.

From what i understand, if you dont need the rust resistance of Talonite, youre really much better off with S30V or similar, the only advantage of Talonite/Stellite seems to be rust resistance, and it is otherwise a relatively poor performer relative to other high end steels.

Im still convinced that 98% of the reason most people buy a knife with Talonite or Stellite is because the names are cool, and sound very exotic and ultra high-tech. :)

same here
but here is some info on Boye Dendritic cobalt it is not a steel its made of 50% cobalt 27% chrome nickle tungsten silicon moly iron and carbon It has Carbide crystal dendritic formations thoughout the the blade they add in cutting bite and help hold the edge. it is salt water rust proof and isnt magnetizable in natural conditions
It costs me 120 bucks canadian for a 1/8 x 1 1/2 x 10" long bar

I still dont think its needed but its obviously your choice

Talonite has plenty of applications. Any folder that I was planning on using around sea water would be Talonite with a titanium handle.

I agree 100% that if you plan on using a knife near or in salt water then these alloys are a must, but, im betting that 99% of people who own a folder with Talonite/6K are not using them near salt water and thus have them for reasons other than mere rust resistance.

Ill say it again, you say to someone loudly: "440C!!!" they dont even look up, you mutter under your breath the magic word: "Talonite" it's: "What! Talonite? Where!" :) Its a cool name. :)

The fancy name does sound good maybe From now on we should call 440c obtanium or iceite or something fancy then people will realise that 440c or ats-34 is damn good steel

Slightly off-topic, but how about talonite fixed blades from production companies?

The Talon is a great little fixed blade. The handle is a tad small for my hands, but the blade really cuts like crazy. I've been using the Talon all summer as my fishing knife, and performance has been exceptional. The wife used it all winter long in the kitchen, and was very sad to see it go to my fishing gear.

I beleive the only factory to be able to use Talonite is Camillus.
Good Collecting !
