This may sound naive, but since Talonite contains cobalt - are there any risks of toxicity if used for food preparation, or just having a talonite blade for general use?

Thanks in advance.

Talonite is not toxic and does not leave toxic residue when used preparing food.

The hazards of Talonite are the same as other blade materials:
Do not breath the dust
Do not swallow the dust
Wear eye protection
Don't stab yourself

My wife recently informed me we be buying a Trace Rinaldi TTKK made from Talonite and it WILL stay in the kitchen.

Talonite is used quite a bit in the food processing industry. Kellogs uses it for scrapers in their manufacturing process for making Corn Flakes. Chuck is right.

after you have been breathing the stuff for a while you get all shriveled up and wasted like ROB!!!!!!!!!! :D  :) :) :D

a little bit comes off on your food every time you cut an apple or orange and pretty soon you start glowing in the dark...like ROB!!
