I had the impression that D2 was better steel than S30V, just less corrosion resistant. Am I wrong about it?
Surprising. Though now that I look back through it, I don't see anywhere that it says "ZT," I only assumed because it looks similar to the 0170 and 0160.
From my experience, D2 breaks a lot easier than S30V. Couple that with lower corrosion resistance, and I don't see how it comes in as "better." I know that S30V takes much longer to sharpen, so that might be an advantage for the D2.
I will keep that in mind until I find more definitive information.
Back to the original subject- since the link to the deal was removed, is it possible for someone to post just a photo or link to the photo for the benefit of those of us that are curious about this?

Missed this before the pic was down, but my guess is that it is the composite blade with a D2 edge that was cut in the shape of wrench ends. I don't know if I've ever seen a name for it. Just the "Anniversary" knife.

I bought one from Kershawguy a year, or so ago. It doesn't come with a sheath, but I had a cheap Chinese knife set that fits it perfectly and is decent quality.
The handle is aluminum, bolted on with hex screws. It's a pretty hefty knife, and I've taken it camping a few times, and used it in the kitchen a few more. Mine is sterile, and doesn't even have the Kershaw marking on the blade.
It's a neat novelty piece, that can do some serious work. I got mine for a bit over $100, and that included some incentive pieces from Kershawguy. I think the price tag on the box said $75, when I got it, but not sure if that was the retail, or wholesale price.

I believe the model was KER90SO and some of them never received the Snap On etching. I agree with Daniel Dorn, this thing is pretty hefty and I got mine around the $100 price mark as well.

For those of you who own this, could you tell me how you go about sharpening the curve on that tanto? Also, what kind of sheath would be good for this? I actually just picked up one, and it is a nice piece that I would like to put into use.
