ok, strider sng, tanto or drop point. im looking for the blade with the best tip strength, and also for chopping.

Drop-point all the way.

I own only two tantos and I'll never buy another one.
For utility and varity of use, the drop-point is better IMHO.

Best Tip Strenth = Tanto
Best Utility = Drop Point

For tip strength the tanto wins hands down. But for utilty the drop point.

Tip strength - Tanto. Drop point for best overall utility.

Go with drop point. Sure the tanto will be less likely to break, but it doesn't really mater much IMHO. To me a tanto is much less useful, not much point in having a knife you won't use.
