Read about it here.
Anybody else have that "gotta pee" feeling waiting for this knife? I do.
The estimated release date in August was Octoberish, and I haven't heard anything since.
This is just about the perfect secondary carry knife for me. I'm not a fan of combo blades (too little of either edge to be useful), so I carry one of each. First it was a Rescue 93mm, which was great, but since I carry it IWB, and I ride a bike in Arizona, it'd rust up. Then I tried the Salts, and my current carry is an Atlantic Salt. Great knife, but I want something with a tip.
My main use for my Salt is at work. I work at a pizza place (chain), and my main use for the knife is opening bags of wet, greasy, gunky food. And boxes. The perfect knife for this job is a serrated hawkbill, but Spyderhawks, Harpys, Merlins, etc are a) getting hard to find, and b) probably wouldn't take kindly to sweat, gunk, and infrequent cleanings.
So the Tasman Salt looks just about perfect to me. Could be a bit bigger (Delica sized handles are a touch small), but I won't complain. But the waiting is killing me!
