Just curious, but why is it that the "Does Size Matter?" thread scroll off my screen ?
Have not had that happen to me before.

BTW, I posted this here because the "contact us" link opens my email agent but does not copy the address to the mail form.
Suggestion : show the actual contact address so that it can be copied and pasted by people not using Browser email systems.

Brian..

Its a software peculiarity:

Yek typed a line "gimmeee....."

The software sees it as one word and doesn't know where to hyphenate it, thus it elongates the width of the screen. We are stuck with it.

Thanks.

and, Mike, did you understand the "contact us" bit ?

I am using a separate email/usenet reader. Clicking on email links on websites opens the reader but, for some reason which may be my fault, does not place the address in the address box for new email.
When I tried to paste the actual email address from the "properties" box, it entered "contact us" instead of the address.
Yep....could have written the adddress down and then typed it onto the new email form.
But that is really primitive and not what the Web is about....right ?

See...even us old blokes are getting spoilt by modern technology.

Brian, your explanation of your problem is a bit confusing.

Are you saying that when you click on email links, the proper email address fails to show up in your email program? As for the "Contact us" showing up, that means that you copied the text, rather than the email address into the clip board.

Contact me via email and I'll try to further pin down the problem you are experiencing, and we'll see if we can't fix it together, ok?

Also, as far as the screen scrolling goes, the software automatically inserts a space in lines after a certain number of charecters (140 I believe) to prevent extreme screen scrolling. Naturally, if your monitor is set to 640x480, the scrolling is going to be a lot worse than if the resolution was set to say, 1024x768.

The key to fighting this is not to have longassrunonwordswithouthyphensorspacessothatthesoftwaredoesn'thavetotrytospaceeverythingout, getit?
