Well I said I was done buying knives for awhile but here I am back at it again. I have just committed to purchase a pre prod. run of a 710 with the anodized handles that is n.i.b. Never cut nothing and has been sitting in the box in this fella's safe since he purchased it. The serial # is someting like 037. Does anyone out there own one in the alum. handles? What can one expect to pay for something of this sort. I did not pay much over a hundred bucks. Any help is appreciated. Keep'em sharp

Sounds like you got a good price. BM did another run of the 710 with aluminium handles last year and they were priced in the same range.

It sounds like you did well---a very good price.

BTW, you're not nuts--you're KNUTS!! :D :D

Enjoy the knife!

You got a good deal by the sounds of it, BTW i still think you are nuts :) And you will never stop buying knives lol

Don't worry, you're not nuts...

[whispering urgently] Somebody get the trank gun!

I do and it's been my EDC literally for over a year. Well, 710 was my EDC before that too, it's been a year since I carry Al handled 710.
I like it a lot more than G-10. Really solid feel, and I have no probs with the cold weather in Bay Area. There's only one scratch on the handle, other than that anodized Al proved to be scratch resistant :)
Here are the pix, a year ago and now:

Uhhhh. Don't mention it. I saw the snow 2 days ago when driving to work. Last time I've seen the snow was 4 years ago in Tahoe.

P.S. I rather meant that there are no cold weather probs in BA to be concerned about Al handles ;) Pardon my english.
