I mailed my satin/plain Commander do EKI last week on the 8th - the lockup wasn't solid and would slip with even light pressure on the blade spine; would fail Spine Whack Test about 1/3 of the time.

I enclosed a cover letter saying that I'm going on an international trip in October (which I am) and would appreciate it if they'd send me my repaired knife sometime before then.

I got a new replacement knife TODAY - six days total from when I sent it in. Wow! Thanks to, Mr./Mrs. Emerson, Derek and the rest of the folks down at Emerson Knives!

That's great to hear. Did they fix your knife or send you a completely new one. From personal experience they took a month to get (2) customs back to me. Got them back this Monday.

After a while one begins to expect such service from most manufacturers..but it's not always the case...EKI sets a standard
