I must be slipping, I had posted a while ago when I received my knife on the General forum, and just found out that you have your own forum now. So I wanted to let you and all that enter here know that I am very grateful for you donating the knife to Blade Forums and I feel fortunate to have won such a blade. Below is a pic of me and the knife I won, it is a very good chopper! and came very sharp! Thanks again!

Gary: Wow! What a surprise. I had forgotten all about the "winner." It's really cool to actually see a GH owner (in this world of internet, we rarely see faces). I'm so glad that you are happy with your prize.

A question for you: did you have to "enter" or are we all entered every month by very nature of the fact that we are forumites? A very naive question, but one that I don't know the answer to. If it's the former, then I need to start entering!

Again, glad you are now a member of the GH family, and hope you'll visit the forum for some occasional khukuri banter. And a warning: Khukuris can be addicting (just ask a couple of the forumites, who will be happy to tell you their name and that they are khukaholics

Well, when Mike asks for a number, the first post is taken and that number is checked against the membership list and that's how it's done, I assume that you can only win once in this fashion, but I'm thankful, the number drawn was by Uncle Bill, who also didn't know how it worked and wondered how he won me a knife!

Take care,
G2

I still don't understand how to enter the drawing. Who do I give my number to or do I already have one?

Frankly, neither do I. I've been wondering why I haven't been winning knives every month!

Seriously, I have no clue how this works. Maybe Mike or Spark could post a thread somewhere (here?) telling us how it works.

Who do I send my number to? Or do I already have one. I've read those rules over and over and still don't get it. Have I lost that many brain cells?

I had received an email from someone a few days ago asking about the knife I have pictured here, they wondered if it was a Cold Steel version, I tried to reply but the message was kicked back saying not able to deliver, so I'm posting it here. The knife is not a CS version though I've handled the CS ones and they seem ok but heavy.
Not sure what the model of the one I won is, but it sure does chop like crazy, the horn handle is staying pretty good, a few cracks are appearing but nothing to get too worked up about.

Thanks again Craig and Blade Forums!
