Much of this stuff should be intuitive but bares mentioning anyway.

The basics:
My reputation is VERY important to me here and in every part of my life. If I sell you a knife please let me know when you recieve it. I dont want anyone sitting around thinking they got ripped off. I spend the extra couple of dollars to insure every package so everyone is covered. I will feel so much better once I know that the guy who trusted me and sent me ( a stranger ) a money order has the knife in his hand.

If I buy a knife and you arent comfortable with a simultanious transaction .. cool. But please let me know when you recieve my MO and ship as soon as you recieve it. I dont want to worry that I was taken.

Description Description Description. I know sometimes people are in a hurry to get rid of a knife (usually just to buy another) but fudging on the description just makes for bad feelings and makes it harder to get rid of the next one that has fallen out of favor because a new knife wiggles its fancy blade your way. I just sold a used Swisstool. I reciever several inquires and I described all the details of its use and every and any scratches. I also provided pix from several angles close up. That was for a whooping 45 bucks.

Im sure there are more things to add to this list. Perhaps there should be an faq so everyone atleast knows what is expected. Or perhaps we can do like Jackyl and his great people list and add to and keep alive this thread.

simply pay for a confirmation # service at time of shipping. It allows the sender to monitor the packages' progress while in the system. Their web site at www.usps.com has updates as to when package was dropped off at PO, if it is en route, when and which PO branch it arrives at, and if and when it was delivered or if a note was left for recipient/ left at PO, etc. For only .35 more it can bring piece of mind for both buyer and seller as either can confirm a packages' status. It also helps to cut out some of the "bull" when making inquiries at the local PO! Well worth the .35!
