Just a note to say high from Quantico, VA, where my unit is doing a training exercise with about 50 british soldiers. As many of you know, I ordered and took delivery of 100 SN1s with "Warrior Diplomat 00" stamped on the blade. The unit is selling these to pay for our mess night. Well, we've got about 60 gone with 10 days left, and the reception by the british has been very positive. Last night, one of the LTCols had a nightmare, jumped up out of his rack screaming, and made for the door before he woke up and sheepishly returned to his rack (we're billeted in sqaud bays). The next day, everybody at that end of the squad bay bought a khukuri!

BTW: For any of you who want one, you can have a Warrior Diplomat OO SN1 for $45.00. Including shipping. Just send me a check. They're otherwise identical to normal SN1s, but they are delivered "dirty" (that is, they'll have the cosmylene on the blades and will need some spit and polish to make them bright and shiney). I won't be sending them for about a week, but I thought I'd make the offer.

Well, I did sell one to a forumite (a former Marine), and they're all gone (I'm back from the field for a couple of days). The Brits and our troops ate those things up. We also gave them away as gifts for our speakers and exercise support staff. Now, I can say that our knives are used by the non-gurkha British Army!

Even a 2 star General has one now!
