I thought you might want a look at the handiwork of The Caveman, GenO Denning. I took up Dexter's recommendation and ordered one...thanks Dexter. Well now I'm hooked. Some really great work for the money...and GenO tells me that he just charges an honest wage...now that is an understatement in favor of the buyer! Here is my stag handled GM model...slightly larger than the Dexter's model B.
What impressed me was the polish of the blade, the handle (the tang is tapered and under the stag there are red liners), and the soldering on the guard. Overall just wonderful work. Here is the blade.
No, it is not blue and there is nothing wrong with your monitor. That is the blue sky reflecting in the blade. And the specs are actually lint from the rag wool! You can see the clouds reflecting in this picture.
The work on the handle is just beautiful. It is very comfortable in the hand and the stag is really nice. The liners give it just the right touch.
Look at that solder! What solder? The blend is so well done. Wow! Notice in the mark that my knife is marked 592. Each is serialized along with a sheath where GenO signs and writes the serial number on the back. The sheath is also of very good quality.
There is not anything I would consider a flaw in this knife...and the pictures do not do it justice. Great work, materials and service. How much? $150+shipping. I couldn't be happier with a knife. I got back on his list to buy a couple for my sons to put away. Thanks GenO!
