WTT the Field Knife shown below (bottom knife) in black canvas for a D3V EDC. The FK is unused but has been stropped. The original sheath is gone, but it will come with a Mashed Cat sheath.

***Trade pending!***

Where were you two days ago when I offered my EDC up for trade for FK? Geez, I'm never gonna score one of these FKs! :D

Holy crap, so many PMs.

I am gonna return PMs in the order I received them to be fair

I was debating it after you posted, but you found a deal before I made up my mind ><

Looking for some advice from the forum members. I am trying to find an LC but so far have not had any luck. I look on that big auction site but have not seen one come up yet. Are there other resources I could use to track one down?

Thanks,
Nathan Heuer

Best advice is to be patient. A lot of guys keep posting multiple WTB ads, it doesn't help. There aren't 5000 LC's or FK's or EDC's around so people usually don't wanna let them go.

Too add to what MoS89 had stated:

For those who are newer to CPK, Nathan typically puts the kibosh to his patterns round about the 400 number, perhaps a bit less for some and slightly more for others. In the case of the LC for instance, there are only about 400 or so of these in the wild so they seldom come up on the sales block by private party owners, whether on here or on that big auction site.

The seekers' best bet would be to be agile, nimble yet patient and comb through this subform and the sales forums very, very regularly. It is tough but it happens: for instance an FK in D3V sold on the Fixed Blade yesterday eve at a great price but only within a few minutes of being posted so someone got very fortunate and bunch of others who were merely late by literal minutes were not!

I don't think that clogging this thread with repeated WTB posts is going to help the cause much because almost no one will remember anyone in particular and once the time comes for someone to part with a CPK, her/she will most likely just post it up either here or on the main WTS forum and let it rip!

Thank you Casinostocks and ManOfSteel89 for your replies!

I didn't realize that there were so few of these in the wild. I did see the FK and some of the others go up for sale and you are right they go very quickly. I need to figure out a better notification system for this board... I am sad I didn't know about CPK before he did that last batch of preorders for the LC. I know there are other decent 3V light/medium choppers out there but to my knowledge no one is doing the same heat treat that the Machinist is doing. I have looked at the GSO 10 from Survive! Knives but the new ones have yet to even hit production. I have a Ferhman Extreme Judgement in 3V that I have used for years but am looking for a chopper with a straight edge since to me that is a little more versatile.

Yeah I agree with this statement. I'd rather put it out to the public too and watch the scramble lol.

But alas, 'tis the reason I'll probably never get one. Different time zones, so makes lurking the forums harder and a lot of sellers won't sell outside of the CONUS.

I have posted a handful of WTB ads and each one was fulfilled eventually (FK, 2 LCs, and 2 HDFKs) just posting WTB is too ambiguous and will likely not make anyone think twice about responding. Putting the max $ you are willing to spend (50% over original price) seems to the point at which some interest is piqued.

With supply far less than demand, the secondary market can maximize total economic 'happiness'

^ respectfully speaking, that sort of practice may be frowned upon by the Mod on here. Perhaps best to dangle that sort of wording in the general WTB subforum.

There has been some complaining about too much chit chat on this thread. It doesn't seem so egregious to me, but I understand some folks are subscribed to this thread with the intent of looking at work as it comes in, and posts that are aren't specifically looking to buy or sell something in particular are screwing up the single to noise ratio. So, with that in mind, please minimize off topic posts, keep those conversations to PM or in other threads. Thanks - management.
