This pattern was presented to me by Terry Trier. I named it after him. It comes in various tang ends for various purposes or with no exposed tang. Simply dropping the exposed tang completely leaves a full 4 1/2 inch handle. The exposed tang is 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch chamfered thong hole. This particular one is designed for scrapping small game hides and the tang end is flat with sharp edges just as the blade spine is for striking firesteel.. The tang end is about 77 mil thick. The blade spine is about 160 mil inch. Blade length is about 4 5/8. Handle scales: about 4 1/2. OAL: about 9 3/4 inches. Blade width is about 1 1/4 with a approximate 1/3rd sabre grind. Wood is big leaf maple I had WSSI stabilize. Blade steel is CPM S30V at about 59.5 HRc.
This knife design is well balanced and wonderfuf to use both in function and handling. The grind is sabre or Scandinavian with a single bevel zero edge.
Thanks for looking.
