just so no one gets the idea that all I do is take pix at knife shows, for those of you following the RL CKG thread in Custom, I did buy a knife.

It is not a new knife but is a good one and fully integral by Bud Weston and it was purchased from a collector.

In the photograph, note that the front of the bolsters are aligned. Now the similarities begin even though one is integral and the Bob Crowder is bolstered.

Both have desert Ironwood. BC's is ATS 34 and Bud's is 440 C. The thumb notch on Bob's accents his while the (unseen) sculpted handle accents Bud's work.

Overall shape is very similar and sizes are close. Guess good old clip points are popular styles.

Well, it was a good idea but I have tried everything and can't get the darn image to come up. Any ideas. All the ones in the CKG posts worked.

Anyway if someone wants to look at the 2 knives, click on my sig (albums) go to Fighter/Bowie album and scroll or CTRL + End and it is there at the moment.

Those are both great looking knives, but in my opinion that integral is a stunner. Knives like this one are why I have begun to really like integrals.

Keith-- I love integrals too but hard to find them at the "right" price. I have a few and I'm now thinking I should create another album of "integrals"

Big Bore--this is really strange as I have never had to use CAPs before and all the CKG posts were done "img". Guess I'll just have to think next time lol. Thanks for solving the mystery and showing the knives.

Now I have to figure out how to show the sculpting of the handle as it raises toward the middle and then slopes to the rear. Maybe only way is to photograph it from the "above tang" position.
