I've had a Super Tinker for many many years and, although it has served me well, I always felt that it was missing something.
And that something was the terrific SAK wood saw.

So then I searched out the perfect Victorinox with a saw:
What I came up with was the Pioneer Harvester.
Yep, this one was perfect.
Alox aluminum scales, no protusions to tear up my pockets, the awsome Soldier-style awl, and the coveted SAW.

But after awhile I started missing those scissors I had on the Super Tinker model.
I also missed the tweezers.
And I really missed the phillips screwdriver.
And the pruning blade just was'nt as useful as the small pen-blade of the Super Tinker.
But I still wanted a saw too.

And so, with a little searching around, I discovered the Fieldmaster!
This is just what I was looking for.
The Super Tinker with a SAW.

Yes, the Fieldmaster is the perfect Swiss Army Knife for me....

for now.

Thanks for listening,
Allen.

The fieldmaster is what I have been carrying for awhile. It has ever thing I need and find useful. I started out with a climber and a tinker. I preferred the tinker's phillips over the corkscrew but missed the scissors when carring the tinker. I heard so much good stuff about the Vic. saw that I wanted that as well. This led me to the fieldmaster that I carry on my belt in a nylon Vic. sheath and I am very happy with it. Great edc that is ready when I need it and I don't even notice it when I don't.

The saw is always nice to have, I started with a soldier and almost immediately went to the farmer. The saw is great because it takes up only a very thin layer. Anything I like, I always search for a version with the saw added.

I was considering a fieldmaster, but I'm getting sucked into the huntsman LITE... Which is a huntsman with an LED and in-line phil layer. (Note the regular huntsman and fieldmaster differ by only the T-phil vs. the CS. If I remember right.)

It's a lot of fun searching for the perfect one...
