I guess I'll start this off. Here are a couple of fairly rare Bucks.

Don't know how many clip point 103s there are, but not many.

The 121 is one of three.

It has been a bit since I put up one is stone so here is a pretty one with Brass Bolsters and Mookaite scales. I kind of like the new photo loading system as it is fast. If you go to the first thumbnail it lets you go straight through the pictures too. Kind of nice and easy.

Always great to see one more of your knives, Redrummd! The brass does look very good with the lighter stone.

Buck 329 Trapper and 329 Freedom Trapper.

The Model 329 was started in 1988 and is a two blade trapper with two springs, brass liners and yellow delrin scales. An unusual aspect for Buck knives is that the 329 was made with half-stops, as were all versions of this model. It was made by Camillus Knives, for Buck on contract and provided exclusively for sale by Smokey Mountain Knife Works. It eventually came in two variations; the plain 329 and a boxed limited edition called the 'Freedom Trapper', which included an American Flag silk screened on the front scale. Both versions were never made in the Buck factory.

Note the mis-printed Pledge on the inside cover of the box. "One nation, under God" was left out. This was caught too late to stop sales and caused Buck management quite a heart-ache.

The tangs of all 329s are without date stamps. No exact records are available, but it likely was made by Camillus for only two, maybe three years only. Camillus made similar models for other compaines, and coninued to make it's own version up until the shut-down of production.

Both versions were offered only by SMKWs in catalogs from 1988 on. In both the plain knife and the speical boxed version. The boxed knife came as a limited edition of 5000 with a special 'Right to Bear Arms' belt buckle. Pictured is serial number 1541. As is the case in many large runs of LEs the entire 5000 may never have been made.

The belt buckle is marked: C and J, 1985, Model CJ1002, Made in the USA.

SMKWs offered them in catalogs from 1988 thru 1990, with the plain 329 selling for $19.99 in 1988.

During the 1980's and 90's SMKWs offered several excluisve models of which the 329 was a part. That special relationship with Buck continues even in present times.
If you like yellow handled two blade same end trappers it offers a very serviceable knife. They can be found on auction sites and knife shows. The boxed set less often than the plain scaled knife. Some flag printed knives without LE etching may have been sold. Handle flag versions carefully as the silk screening will scratch off....

Thanks to C. Reed for SMKW catalog assistance

Going along with 300Bucks pictures of the Camillus made trappers, here are two Camillus made Imperial Frontier 4322's. They were made between 1976 - 1982. I know they are not Bucks but they are American made and I thought I would share them.

"Wow", what a fantastic start to the SPS.
Thanks to all for posting!

Today's photo is of a 110 made in 81 it's got a black etch of the SD PD (this knife always reminds me of Brother Mike). The photo's don't show how nice the wood grips are on this knife.

David:

Iy just has BUCK 103 USA. I do know that BUCK made them. One person who has one in stag says that, at the time, one could simply request that they provide the knife with a clip point and they did.

Here is a slight bit of info on the knife. The stag 103 I mentioned above is pictured there also.

MVC-017F by seaplane1, on Flickr The old 119 is a 1981 and the 110 has no dots and I don't remember what year these were from, But I could look it up. DM told me about the 119 when I first got it. My brother found it at a local junk shop and gave it to me. I use it from time to time because it is a very handy tool! The Super Blackhawk is a 1991 model.
