The Viktim suffers some trauma

I received the Viktim on Saturday morning and promptly set to abusing it that afternoon. I will save the whole story for my final review but, as a teaser, it did suffer some pretty severe trauma that led to a failure of sorts. It is still in one piece, very usable, the damage was quickly repaired. I still have some additional tests to perform over the next few days.

I think I am the eleventh person to beat on this thing and either I am the last of a group of incredibly effeminate testers or this is one hell of a tough knife!

Did you see my review? And one of the other testers beat on it similarly to what I did. I'd never do some of that stuff unless absolutely necessary. This knife is a BRUTE.

I batoned it over and over through cinder blocks and what not and it held up strong. if that's girly I like how they roll :)

I think it's a case of this knife being as tough as they come. I have tried things that I would never have done to a knife and have been astonished at how well it has held up.

I've had some more time with this knife and I cannot break it. I've bent it in a vice, thrown it over and over, beat on the edge with an axe, batonned a metal pole.......

Here's a few pics, I have more for the review

Hi Sean -

Cool - go ahead and post your stuff in the passaround thread.

Remember - John made this one just for the passaround - his normal knives would have a bunch of holes in the tang to help with scale adhesion, and this one only had two scales.

I think it is awesome that this knife took all this abuse and it still would be a usable knife with a little work on the edge -

You know you can count on a JK in extreme conditions, even if you will never have to explore those conditions.

I will never feel bad if I chop or baton with one of my JKs after seeing what this knife took from the many reviewers.

thanks for the post and for being a part of the passaround!

best

lol wow. I'm glad my crazy polished edge held up so well for you lol. that shit is seriously serrated now. can't wait for the full review. good stuff though.

I bet it'd still do a good job cutting up some BBQ ribs or a steak. :D

Wow,it took my brain a minute to process what it was seeing with the gap between the left scale & the tang.

And I didn't know the ViKtim was serrated,I prefer plain edges myself.;)

Can't wait to get mine John,(PE please)great knife obviously.

I think you showed that pool boy, and I believe you win for being the most abusive!

The ViKtim is very tough, to stand up to all that. Yeah, video would of been good, I'd like to of seen that, you'd have to wear a hockey mask though.

Well done, outdoorsfan
