come on in. ;):D

In other words where is everyone at?

I imagine Gundy is out using his newly arrived Rat's, but what about the rest of you.

Join in, we are all friends here. :D:D

Don't make me post more pictures ;):D:D

Eric,

Just got my Howling Rat and it sings!

Outstanding workmanship, ergonomics that make it part of my hand and one great tool. The utilitatian sheath works fine with good retention and should last for many years of camping.

I am very happy with this newest addition to my collection. You guys did good.

Next? I'll probably go for the CT.

Thanks!

Hey Oneman - glad to see you here!! Yes, get the Tramp, it's everything the Howler is, and more. And less. Well, just get it - you'll see !
But a Singing Rat?? Ouch-- makes my ears hurt just thinking about it:D

Oneman,
Welcome to the Rat's Nest, glad you stopped by. :D:D

Singing Rat's....hhmmm...now there's an idea ;):D

still too cold post some pictures, how about more pictures of knives whose existance you can neither confirm nor deny.

Do you think that Jenny could beat Jerry to making a folder?

You guys are killing me! I have been holding off getting a BR until I get the Battle Rat LE. I am afraid I will need a Rat fix before that. I was thinking a BR and a Howler in a piggy back type sheath would be a neat package. It would be a great hunters package, BR for the heavy duty work and the Howling Rat for the fine work. Combine the pair in one of those nice leather sheaths I see, and I would be in heaven. Any Ideas? Does that sound dumb?

ArchAngel -- PiggyBack Rats, hmmm, aside from a little misogeny issue, it's a pretty stupid idea. I know, because I thought of it a while back, and I can't get it out of my head, so it must be pretty STUPID !!:D Hang in there -- I'm thinking about design issues. One idea was to have the Howler slightly off-center on the main sheath, with an EZ-LAP diamond rod along side the Howler. It'll fit, but it's a pretty complex rig to make -- at least for me. And then there's the matter of sharpening a convex edge on an EZ-LAP rod.

I like it...what a duet!
Bass and treble.
Might be a bit heavy but with a handgun on the other side of the belt it all balances out! The pocket for the sharpener is sweet!

Thanks for the welcomes.

Oneman,
Pardon my bad manners, WELCOME!:D You will love it here on the forum. Great people and tons of useful info on how to spend all your money on steel.

I am happy to know that I have company in my insanity. All though, the voices do keep me company:D I like your sheath idea also. I look forward to seeing a prototype, once you iron out the hassles. I was wondering that if the piggy back sheath is too much trouble. What about those sheaths I have seen where the knives are side by side in a dual pouch, maybe W/ the sharpener in the crease between the two? Maybe that could be an alternative method. It would ride closer to the body that way. Though I am used to carrying Khukuris, so the close to the body part is never a problem with me. I look forward to hearing more ideas. Sounds like it could be Awesome!:D
