Theoretically ........................

If one wanted to could you send in a Skeleton warden and have the good folks at Busse put a handle on it? Or even for that matter some wood or stone inserts? The Skeletons are interesting but think how much more interesting they would be with an official program where one could upgrade the handles!!!

Might be an interesting add on for your Warden - new handles. Of course with the required obscure Two Weeks waiting period.....

.............himmmm?? :D

i have thought the same thing. the skeleton doesnt feel real good to me. i cord wrapped it, but i would prefer some g10, maybe blk/blu?

I would think Jaxx for sure would like such a program............think of ALLLLL the custom variations he could have!! :D  :D

I plan on adding a set of stag handles to one of mine. The hard part is going to be mounting them because there isn't three holes in the knife handle to put the fasteners thru, there is two large pockets, I will have to fill in the open pockets some how.

how about putt'in a rubber on it!!.............you know, like the scrappy "BOG" dog!

:D

But the idea would be to get a very custom job our your choosing- of course being black coated but with choice of handle!

You could always strip it first and do an "ice' finish like one of the other threads showed. Then you would have a true custom. I imagine with no handles to start this would be an easy blade to strip and finish.

I have never worked with Stag so not sure how hard it is to machine. Instead of filling the pockets would it be possiable to start with thicker material and cut keys in the back to fit the holes. One on each side of the handle, then use an epoxy to bond them together on the knife. This way you would have clean handles with no screws or pins.

Tim,

Shape the stag to fill the space in the SW.
Add two fasteners and voila, done deal.

don't fill them in, grind them out!

You could cover em with yellow G10.

Nahhhhh, it's been done. ;)

You could send it to some folding-knife maker, have him hack it up, and make you a Busse folder.

Knock out the center support and the end and make a Busse Tuning Fork.

There are a multitude of things taht can be done with a SGW!
