They dont get much simpler than this (pic)

A hawk made from a high quaility farrier rasp (1095) folded and welded left with a forge finish..Hickory haft, not real pretty but makes one heck of a hawk ;) I like doing wrap and weld hawks. Sounds funny but it kinda feels "right" :thumbup:

taking something old and made it fresh, I LOVE the texture.

Back in the DAY, you know a good blacksmith used what ever they had to make something out of. :thumbup:

LOL, the beauty of that thing is that people do so much decorative file work and that one comes with it already done!

Hi, the head on this one is around 5 1/2" long with about a 2 3/4" or 3" cutting width..Haft is about 18"..We kept it light.
 
Yea, they are generally up for sale. I think Lisa put this one on ebay last night. We are over in eastern,Ky..Floyd co. Next to Pike co..
There is a smith who does a lot fo woodwork that lives in or around Berea that was on The "Woodwrights" shop a season ago. Don Weber I think? Maybe you have heard of him..
