Sorry Frank, that is the only image I have from Larry, he might chime in here and give some details, but basically he has found a way to fill in that location hole on the scale with some nice looking items, one the Eagle and the other an HD (which is upside down in the scan) for Harley Davidson which he seems to enjoy...

Now I know that CRK also have stones that can be set in place as well but this is just some nice home custome work!

Ingenious !

And I thought it was cool just to add high polished screws and a G2 sheath to mine.

Thanks Gary for the pics, but as he knows, the only reason I sent them to him was so he would know what to do to make me up some sheaths for them, and he has made 2 for the small(vertical & horizontal carry), 1 for my Umfaan in canted carry, and 1 in horizontal carry with a flap for the large, and he is now making a right hand carry vertical for the large one. I like variety of carry for my Benzas.
I did not think it was any big deal on what I did, but Gary thought it was different.
What I did was smooth down just the front part of the scale with 800 grit by wet sanding, and then tried to come up with something to fill the pilot hole.
I collect quite a few knives(production & custom), and have never gotten hit by the decorated Sebenza bug, and decided to create my own. The small Sebenza idea came to me about 2 years ago, and found an eagle hat pin in sterling silver in a western store, and worked out a way to epoxy it in the pilot hole, and when I bought the large Sebenza, I decided to try, and come up with another idea on the Harley Davidson theme having owned, and road Harleys for over 10 years. I was at a Harley Rally here in Reno last year, and found another pin in sterling in the shape of a circle, and with the letters HD, and it fit perfect, so bought it, and it worked out well.
I am known to be different(weird?) sometimes, but I like having things done a different way than others.
Like I said, no big deal, but some seem to like it. Is original I must say. Stones are cool too, but I just like my idea better to keep in the Harley theme.

My .02 cents worth rounded off to a buck.

Here is a look at the image turned around so the HD looks right, now I'm seeing all kinds of things that I can onlay to my knives!

That's very slick, Larry! Great idea.
Makes me want to get a miniature of Airborne wings made up and put on mine (actual size wings would cover half the handle on my small). Or maybe a tie-tack-sized version of a unit crest.
The Harley emblem is cool, but the eagle really looks awesome!

You've got me digging around in my junk drawers, just looking for stuff

Owen!

The tie-tac would work well as you can use the pin on the back as a guide to go in the pilot hole. What I used on my eagle was a piece of tv coax insulation the same size as the pilot hole, and epoxied it into the hole, and it has not moved in over 2 years of daily carry 90% of that time. I do rotate my knives, but carry the small Benza most of the time in my Gary Graley horizontal right hand carry, or the vertical left hand carry depending on my mood at the time.

Hope this helps in giving you ideas, and good luck.

Somehow that seems very appropriate

Very cool.

Larry,
Thanks for the tips. I'm still looking...

I haven't found what I wanted to add to the scales, so I added something to the lanyard hole.MySebs
