This is my 110. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

Probably said by a large amount of people around here, but I really do feel that way about the 110. This is not my first post ever, I just am trying to convert to one username for most things and my old bladeforums didn't cut the mustard. Anyhow, I loaned my older 110 to a buddy and it came back with half a blade. Just came home with this beauty and stamped my name, cleaned the hell out of it with hot water and dish soap for about 5 minutes, then blew it out with 140psi of dry air and proceeded to give it some oil. I tell you what.....I dont care if this 110 didn't have near as much hands on, personal attention the older models did back in the starting days, but I really don't care! I am proud to own such a simple and solid affordable knife that fits good in my giant hands, and slides in and out of my pocket with ease. I don't have to worry about my precious little pivot screw tension, or if my blade is perfectly centered, or if my lockbar is traveling to far across the tang, or if I used too much locktite, or if the pocket clip doesn't adjust to where I want it, or if the cops will consider it a gravity knife, or if..........you get the idea. All I know is that I carried and used the smaller 112 for 8 good years and never had a problem. I just washed/oiled it hit the crappy little arkansas stone I've had for 20+ years and I've been good to go. There is something intoxicating about the smell of brass and 3in1 oil that makes me happy.

While I don't really use it anymore, I still love the smell of 3 in 1.

Send your old knife back to Buck and have it rebladed.

Make sure your doofus buddy pays for the new blade. Then don't ever loan your knife again.

Ya, I was also going to say. If he was your buddy he would've handed you back your old knife with a new one just like it"

If I return something that's not in as good or better shape than when I borrowed it, then I replace it.

Cool picture. The 110 is a classic thats for sure. Really all the knife most guys would ever need.

Too bad you're buddy isn't as sharp as you're knife.:)I believe the new 110's are made just as hands on as the old ones with improvements to the design over the years and blade steels being the only difference. If I could only own one knife it would be a Buck 110.

I bought one of these today myself. I am working in Colorado Springs and have the weekend off to site see, so I thought if I wanted to go for a nicce hike, my spydy wouldn't do so..... wally world was right down the street and now I own 4 standard 110's and 2-olive drab colored composite handled (426?) and a sweet 112. I like them a lot and will stow this in my tool kit for upcoming trips where I have to fly. This one purchased today is as neat as the older ones and I even like the dang nylon sheath from the bubble pack!

I was going to give one of these away today but could not find out where to put a give-away at in this Forum and did not want to get into trouble so here I sit.! HELP*
Anybody know where I do this.??

Amen to that. I used to be a running joke in the family about how much GrandPa loved loaning me his old tools. They always broke and I was always bringing back a new one or one with a new handle.....I got smarter and started buying my own.

Start a new post declaring a giveaway and post your rules for it. Then you're good to go.

Good looking new(to you) replacement-enjoy. Cant go wrong with a used 110 cause chances are its as good as new anyway.
