Hi all,
Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate the encouragement. I have'nt worked out the prices but the estimate so far for the small ones is around $120., maybe $130. the larger ones will run around $160. ?? I think ? Anyway the damascus looks like it will run around $350., that stuff costs a hell of a lot to buy man. The Bowie up top I posted by accident, I am selling that one it's a Bill Siegle and quite nice. Thanks again. These are a part of a batch I am working on that should be completed in about two weeks, after treatment and sheaths are made. Thanks again all and take care.....RDT

Hi Richard,
i used a smaller drill bit about 5/32' and scribed a circle in the steel then just followed the circle with th small drill holes. Broke out the circle of steel and then deborred and smoothed the inside with a Dremel. A real pain in the as but it works faster then a 1" drill bit. Thos ethings take forver with cutting oil and smaller hole drilled to start as well. I am thinking of trying a carbide 1" bit because it may cut faster and more accurately. Especially because i want to do some titanium versions as well. Thanks again.....RDT

nice box cutter types. what steel are you using? yes those large holes are a pain! the ats-34 gets gooeye if you get it hot. your menthod of useing a small drill bit works better than a 1" bit.

Thanks very much Laurence ! I am using BG 42 as my standard steel right now. Maybe just maybe I'll use some more ATS 34 or 514cm in the future but BG 42 has been my favorite for a while and it still remains in my opinion the best stainless steel. The ones pictured above are all BG42 except for the large double stainless damascus and the small 1/4" thick reverse tanto Kerambit which is ATS 34. Take care.....RDT
