I leave the computer for half a day and come back to find there are two pages threads with new posts! Cool. Just drop me an email or bring something back to the top if it needs our attention since I haven't gone through all the posts. Between this forum and the Busse forum I think we're tying up all the bandwidth on the manufacturer's forums :D

Once again, thanks to Tony, Shotty (and Shotty's wife) for helping out as moderators here. And I big thanks to all of you who are regulars here. There are a helluva lot of smart people posting on this forum with a lot of good info. Some of it is not even about RAT knives or any knives, but that's what makes this forum so damn cool. Some of the survival stuff that is posted and even the E&E stuff that's posted by guys like Don Rearic make this forum all worth it, IMO. I have to say we have the smartest, most informative and the most fun forum on the net!

And we absolutely have to thank Boats for the bikini thread! :D

Onward!

This is a great place to share information, learn & have fun! Thanks to the moderators & to everyone who participates!:)

Honestly I was looking for a custom made knife as my main bush craft knife. Then I stumbled over here.

I have to tell you, the shear passion that people have over their RAT knives is a huge selling point for me. That and the company, the designers / owners and the fact that they are USA and stand behind their products...

Well, lets just say Im a convert. :) Now, it may take me a bit of time to save to buy them, but I see a few RATs in my future.

My Izula will be here soon... then I see an RC4 in my future (you all sold me) and maybe an RC3 after that... (one step at a time).

i like it here.........now the only problem is we only have 1 laptop that's actually fast enough to surf the net. obviously i won this morning!

:eek:it's bad now....i actually had a dream about RAT knives last night..........i think i have a problem....but I'll stop after i get that green izula.........i promise.:D

What is the RAM on your "crappy" laptop. :D it is probably better than the one on my pc that I am using now.

Pretty nice bunch of regulars in the R.A.T. section it's a good place to find info.

HI also gets a lot, although it's in a lull right now.

The traffic is probably because all three groups are fanatical -- heck, we all have animal names, Rats, Hogs, and Sharks -- and there's a lot of crossover between the groups.

I think they are also the three forums that are the most lenient in the area of allowing off topic posts.

That's a big deal for me. There's plenty of places I'd like to hang out but some people just get so hung up on only talking about ONE thing.

I have many things in my life that I love doing. Being able to hang out in a forum where we can talk about knives, guns, flashlights, bikini's, watches, survival stuff, trips, and much more keeps me here.

Its also nice to see a company that is run by people so nice and involved with people to buy and use their products.

Good place to be!

i wasnt a huge follower of knife brands and such bc really i was not and possibly still not educated enough on types of steel and which brand has a good reputation and what not. Plus when i go camping i am hard on my knives so i never spent much $$ on them. needless to say they do not hold up lol. So far after purchasing a RAT product (Izula) and the firestarter was given to me. I am starting to be more brand sensative. i work hard for my $$ (believe it or not lol) and i want it to go to a good and tested product.. RAT fits the bill for me. It really does. When someone asks what brand i like i catch myself saying RAT first. thats the honest truth. The RC 4 and RC6 are next in line to purchase. Ill buy one used if i have to lol.. Its hard for me to come up with $70+ for a knife (bills bills bills) but the RATs are worth the $$..Thanks for making such a good product.

yeah i like it here too. :)
It is a great forum Jeff!

Mrs.Shotgunner, nothin wrong with dreamin about RAT Knives, I do too! Now, what you do with the knives in the dream ....

It's fun how we're from all corners of the country (and globe for that matter) and are no doubt different in more ways than we're alike. However, we ALL agree that it's a blast to get outside and enjoy the beauty and grandure of nature with a trustworthy blade at or side. Or around our neck. Or in our waistband. Or clipped to our pack. Or.........

I was sold on RAT after I purchased my first knife, but THIS forum keeps me buying more.
