I getting one of these I just want to know what you all think about them?

Good or bad tell me all the stories.

Mike

I am really impressed with mine. I think it compares very favorably with my customs by Mike Obenauf, Brad Duncan, and Charles Marlowe. I think that the knife has great lockup and fit and finish. The edges of the handle are a bit sharp, but the knife is very light and easy to carry. You should check out the Buck forum, there have been some pretty long threads discussing this knife.

Cuts like crazy - only I complain - the thumb hole edge was quite sharp - ( easy to amend that - just a 400 grit sand paper and a small pen ) and in 20 min all done.:)

The heat treat and price point do interest me I must admit.

However some concerns over quality as reported have made me think twice and I would like one with a larger blade!:)

I am NOT being critical about the knife as I have not seen one, but I am used to Sebbi production perfection and while its a cheaper knife, its not THAT much less.

I expect we are seeing new model teething probs?

There are a couple of threads about the Buck/Mayo over on the Buck Forum. You should check them out. I'm quite pleased with my Buck/Mayo. It has a few minor flaws (clip too tight, grinds not quite even), but overall it's an excellent knife for the money.

General, I do think that the Buck/Mayo is having "new model teething pains." I wouldn't hesitate about ordering one because if it's not right, Buck will stand behind the product.

That is one of the things I love about Buck, I may not always like the full range of products, but I respect the ethos and aftersales.

That goes a heck of a long way IMHO.

ts not THAT much less

100+ bucks is quite a lot of difference between a Buck Mayo & Sebenza IMO.

I agree with Mr Cheeseboro, the Buck Mayo compares very favourably to my custom framelocks & sebbies, particularly when you can get one at under $200

Just wanted to say that I got my TNT a few days ago from Cumberland Knives (they waited for the newer version). Mine is perfect. Lockup is tight, blade is centered, grinds are even, and it is incredibly sharp. Not sure if the clip is "corrected" or not, but it works fine for me. If I need to I can always bend the tip up a little. I am more than satisfied.

Plus I pre-ordered mine for $165. That always helps.
