Three pieces here.

First, several weeks back, I tried my hand at making a belt cartridge slide to fit eight .44 Magnum rounds (the number of rounds my Marlin 1894P carries in the tube). I've never done bullet loops before, but it worked out pretty well. Took the measurements, made the calculations, and got 'em all pretty uniform. Unfortunately, I stupidly failed to take any measurements for the belt tunnel. I intended it to be for a 1.5" belt, and I just eyeballed it and ended up with a product that didn't fit. Won't do that again. As a solution, I split the belt tunnel, punched some holes, added a lace, and did some wet molding to a 1.5" belt. Voila! A slide that'll work on a belt or lace onto a rifle sling (as pictured). :D No real final finish on this piece. Just a liberal application and rubbing in of neatsfoot oil.

Next, I recently acquired a Ruger Super Blackhawk, and it was in need of some leather. I'd ultimately like to rig up a Tom Threepersons style of holster for it, but in the mean time, I stuck with what I'm familiar with - a pancake. And a big 'ol pancake it is! There are two items with this holster that I consider critical points in my leatherworking hobby. First, I finally managed to get good results with Fiebing's acrylic Resolene (we didn't get along before ). Second, I tried my hand at some border stamping, and I'm very happy with the results.

Lastly, I wanted to whip up something for the Bark River Bravo-1. I've got the Loveless style sheath from Sharpshooter which I really like, but I'd also like something with some handle exposed for easy grasping. I also wanted the option of carrying the knife up a little higher or as a dangler. The sheath is wet molded to the knife, and I've got a notch in the welt that the scales click right in to. The dangler strap is attached to a basic D ring via a single Chicago screw. I went with Sno-Seal as a final finish.

So there you have it.

They all look great! The stamping came out nice.

I also like the Sno-Seal as a finish. I've used it for years on boots, and decided to finish a recent sheath with it as well.

that top picture just went up as one of my desktop picture rotations!
excellent work!

Great work mate..
I was expecting something else for Bravo-1, but this turned out very well..

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out that something else. :D I've got the kydex, but I need some thinner leather. I wish we had some of that half-tanned stuff here in the States.
