Throwing big knives

I know you can throw big knives, and you can throw hawks, but what about machetes. I am talking about small to medium pointed machetes of different kinds, maybe like kukris even. Is throwing a kukris or machete possible?
 
Indeed, although I've not done it. Do a search here, as less than a year ago there were some helpful how-to's posted on this very topic.
 
You can throw almost anything. I might worry about something flexible like a thin machete coming back at me or getting bent (if it is a cheapy)

Many Khukuris have relatively delicate handles, but the blades should hold up pretty well. The edges are pretty hard and will chip instead of roll if you hit other metal.

2nd that. If its strong enough, its throwable:D
 
The problem with throwing really large and heavy knives is point breakage. It you stick them into wood it's real easy to snap the point just from the weight of a monster blade "hanging" from the point. I recommend hay or straw bales for throwing big, heavy blades.
