not being a pro thrower or into competition, i don't have the need to have an indoor range. unfortunatelly i don't have space for one.

as the snow is starting to fall i wonder what other throwers do, those who live in inclement climates like me. i am thinking of putting up a dart board and throwing small homemade projectiles at it. the family thinking i am only practicing a little dart throwing in the house. hee, hee...

well what do you guys do?

Basement, because I have one.

When I didn't, I borrowed a friend's unfinished basement.

Garages can work well, too, if you have one.

Get a foam archery target, cover it with duct tape. find a place you can throw, maybe a hallway. Protect the floor and walls if necessary, maybe with cardboard, foam, or plywood. Best to throw smaller blades and spikes due to the shorter range and because it will make the target last longer. Even butter knives work.

Crazy, I just gave this info on another thread! Start collecting cardboard boxes or go to the nearest shipping store and buy 20 of them for about 5 bucks. Tape them together and stick you a taget on it. It's good for quite a few throws (maybe 30 - 50 throws depending on how accurate you get!) You can get some good life out of a few pieces of 2x12 from the local hardware store, just see if they have any scrap pieces laying around in the back, or just buy one piece and make several targets. Look at some of my targets in this thread, while I have some nice 6x12's you can just as easily put a couple of 2x6's side by side and it is'nt difficult to build an easel. Well good luck and let us know how it goes.

another drawbaсk of winter knife throwing: knifes can easily be lost in the snow. Bright-colored lanyard will help
