The leather and other outfits, the trick throws and the showing off were to make the video attract attention for a style of throwing that, at that time, was totally unknown. It's a big internet with a lot of videos on it and I didn't have much of a budget, but I needed to do something to make the video noticeable. There is always an element of showmanship to knife throwing, anyway, and I had to compete with professional performers. I don't regret it and I don't take offense when people make fun of it. My cameraman made more fun of me that anyone. He said I looked like an extra from Star Wars.
Thanks for the nice comments. Future videos won't feature leather pants. They are very heavy and restrict movement a great deal, and I can't fit in them as easily at 38 as I could at 32 when I first started filming.
