I had to take a break from making the bigger knives. Just finished this one for a customer. Its just over 4.5inches in length with a full 2.1inch blade. The steel is 1075/L6 Raindrop pattern damascus from Damascus New Zealand www.damascus.co.nz . Full tapered tang, Red liners, "Blonde" and spalted amboyna burl with 416SS pins. The Millefiori bead fob fills the hand nicely.

I'm still mucking around trying to do good pictures of damascus. I used big pictures here, because any smaller and the damascus pattern disappears.

Thanks for looking. Jason.

That is schweeet! The lines are classic........love the red spacers and the tapered tang! :D

Your work is truly amazing. You are always an inspiration.

I just love this one. The nicely tapered tang and the red liners really set it of.

Is the damascus actually looking a bit "washed out" or is it just the pic.

Small in size but very big in appearance. A winner from whichever angle you view it! :)

I've spent many hours trying to figure out the best ways to photograph damascus blades without much luck. The damascus is very clean and crisp, but I am using a deeply etched polished topographic type finish, which seems really difficult to photograph. A damascus steel with more contrast like an O1-15N20 mix would show up very well too. Jason.

That little beauty is coming my way real soon now. Jason and I had a little talk about what I'd like and what might look good and so on and his talent produced the "Raindrop". This is my first Damascus blade and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it.

If you want a custom blade, talk to Mr. Cutter, you too could end up with something as good as this.
