STR, I'm looking for a tip up clip for my BG42 Military. I had Tricod do a tip up wire clip for my Para and was wondering if you had any experience with them, since he's not doing clip mods anymore. If not I'd be happy to have an Endura 4 style clip on the knife.

I don't really mess with them no. I've done just a couple but I'm not really interested in taking on more of them at this time. I appreciate the offer. Now as for sticking a regular clip there, well, I don't have an Endura 4 clip but I do have a few of the old Spyderco Calypso Jr. clips with the Spyderco logo on them. I think I have at least one black and one silver of that style.

I could send the clip from my Endura 4 for now. I was looking at the knife and clip and was wondering if you think this mounting position would be possible? Looks like it's probably to little material to work with that close to the edge of the handle, but I wanted to at least ask.

If not, the E4 clip mounted for tip up how you've done other Military's would work for me.

Its cutting it close but more important to me is visibility in the hand. The closer you put the clip toward that direction where your hand is during grips from use the more you'll notice the clip. At that position I suspect a lot more noticed than invisible in the hand.

The lanyard is still usable with another clip mounted in a better position. Its still a Spyderco clip so personally thats what I'd do if it were mine.

Holding the knife with the clip there I actually prefer how it feels. I had another BG42 Military with an Emerson clip you had installed mounted lower and it worked, but I think if you feel confident trying to put a clip there or near that position I'd like that better for the deeper carry. Either way I'm not concerned about the lanyard hole, I don't use it on folding knives. I do feel strongly about getting the Endura 4 clip on there though, it's my favorite clip outside of the wire clip. I can just mail you the clip with the knife if that works for you.

Thats fine. Don't forget my work order form in the 'Read this to mail me work, or low rider clip' threads.

Thanks

Alright, I just emailed you my info and will be mailing the knife out today.

EDIT: Knife, clip and payment are on it's way.

It was fairly simple. Just don't make a habit of taking it on and off a lot. I don't know if I included my tips for it or not.

Let me know.

Otherwise enjoy.
