Tips on using Lansky

Hi Guys,

I've had a lansky with all the stones and so diamond also but have always had trouble getting it to work as I thought it should. Usually sharpen at 10 degrees. Always wind up getting a burr that keeps flipping from side to side Any suggestions on getting this system to work to it's best? All knives are of fairly good steel but edge folds right over on me most of the time. Does edge pro system work better than Lansky. If so ,how much better?

Sounds like you are using too much pressure. Just use the weight of the stone and the sliding force you exert on it. Psycho's pics and text will help you get the hang of it.
