Titanium is something I have never used and
do not fully understand its properties as a
metal. My question is can titanium be forged
or somehow placed into a blade edge,I believe
it to be a very strong metal. Please correct me If I am mistaken as this is only an idea.

I agree with George. Titanium is kind of misunderstood. It's tough to machine and grind, so it has great durability. However, it has a very low hardness on the Rockwell scale, so it won't hold an edge.

The birth of this new Titanium kitchen knife informercial has created a lot of customer's wanting Titanium knives...but you wouldn't one if you had one.

I was fasinated by the Boker kitchen knife made of titanium. So I bought one for my wife and me. The blade was very sharp the first week or so but in a very short time it lost its edge. I resharpened it. I thought the sharp edge would last longer than it did.
Disappointed is how I feel, along with out a lot of money!
