6242? Anyone use this for the liner part of a liner lock for the lock mechanism? or should I stick with the 6AL4V? I will go .050 thickness for either steel, maybe .063 for the 6AL4V. thanks guys!

I know chris reeves uses it sometimes... its harder than 6/4 but not tougher (or so I understand-actually I dont know crap but thats what I heard!)

6al-2sn-4zr-2mo makes a good linerlock. It is however a few rc points short on hardness compared to 6-4 due to the lack of 4% Vanadium, however the zirconium and moly make up for most of this hardness. it is equally as springy. It does have one distinct advantage over 6-4 that is the annodizing works as well on 6-2-4-2 as it does on niobium. the colors come out brighter and there are colors that are really hard to get on 6-4 that come out well on 6-2-4-2.Btw Mayo don't sell yourself short--You do know crap.

Thanks for your help, guys!
