I'm curious about this also because I'm thinking about ordering a Steel Heart.

 
I got mine from the rep at a show so no wait but from what i hear its been taking about a year to get them but jerry says the time will improve to 4 or 5 months.
 
Got mine from a dealer that had purchased two for himself, and he took pity on me for all my whining and sniveling and let me buy one of them(plus a badger attack)

Spoke with Jerry Busse last Tuesday, and I was told 18-20 weeks for a Steel Heart, and 26-28 weeks for a Battle Mistress.
 
Granted, one does have to wait a while for a Battle Mistress. I would suggest a different strategy. The going price for a combat grade model is around $400-$450 if you purchase it from someone who waited a while and then decided to sell the BM when it arrived. I would keep an eye out for anyone who posts one for sale. Sure beats having to wait for one. But then again, I just drove a total of 950 miles this weekend so that I could get my hands on a Battle Mistress. I just couldn't wait!

I ordered a Battle Mistress in mid-March. I was told "16 - 20 weeks". I received it in 22 weeks.
 
Ordered mine Dec.98, and it's supposed to be here this week. We'll see.
